The conversion rules
For decimal price d, implied probability is 1 ÷ d and fractional odds are d − 1 expressed as a ratio. If d ≥ 2, American odds are (d − 1) × 100. Below 2, they are −100 ÷ (d − 1).
Decimal 2.50 converts to American +150 and fractional 3/2. American −200 converts to decimal 1.50. Decimal 2.00 implies 50%. Decimal inputs must exceed 1.
Conventions and precision
This tool accepts conventional American values of +100 or above, or −100 or below. Zero and values between −100 and +100 are rejected. Fractional input must use a positive numerator and denominator separated by one slash, such as 3/2.
Displayed decimal odds use four decimal places, American odds two at most, and probabilities two. Fractions use a rational approximation capped at a denominator of 1,000,000. Rounding a displayed price and converting it back can change the last digits.
